“SON OF GAIA” 19in x 24in ORIGINAL

This piece is very special to me. It was created after my first mushroom trip in 6 years. 

I wanted to recreate how I felt and what I saw while I closed my eyes for those 4 hours. 

I saw in my minds eye, two mirrored feminine figures on both sides of my vision. Undulating and infinite, they had a regal, soft look to them and their heads grew in size as they moved upwards in a geometric form. 

In the center of my vision, I saw a single eye with geometric patterns pulsating around it. 

The rest of this piece was done invtuitively and was based on my contact with what I would consider “Gaia” or “Mother Earth”. 

I was laying in bed and intuitively called out to her. As I cried, I felt imaginary branches and roots wrapping around me as I cried and healed old wounds. Wounds of my own and wounds of my ancestors. 

I was told by this entity/consciousness that the more I healed the feminine within me, the closer I would be to my true purpose as an artist and as a human.

Upon coming back to this reality, I was struck with an intense desire to capture this psychedelic psilocybin journey and share it with others. 

I feel a softness in this piece that I have never felt before I chose pencil as my medium instead of my normal pen and ink to portray that. 

This original will be on display at the SHROOMSKI MELT gallery show in, June 29th in Denver, CO. It will be displayed along with the works of some of the best visionary artists in the world including, but not limited to, Alex and Allyson Grey, Chris Dyer, John Speaker, Morgan Mandala, Android Jones, and various others.
